So doctors are denying their patients medication because they don’t know what they’re doing. Sweet.

As the article says, methotrexate is used in cases of ectopic pregnancies, which aren’t categorized as abortions. This is as bad as the doc that had a patient sit in his waiting room for seven hours with an ectopic pregnancy (that ultimately ruptured while she waited) because he didn’t know the difference between elective abortions, which some states restrict or ban, and abortifactive procedures to save the mother’s life, which is explicitly exempt in all states and DC.

Alternate title: “In Wake of Roe, Doctors Risk Medical Malpractice Suits over Long Prescribed Drugs”

Proving that doctors are stupid and reactionary, many such cases!

Sounds like a good indication that you shouldn’t be going to that doctor for literally any medical advice.

Note: this just confirms that the vast majority of Doctors have very little idea what they’re doing and are ultimately just yes-men to push pharma. And for some abstract reason, we’re meant to blindly believe them.

These are the sort of people who still think doctors are living saints and couldn’t possibly be capable of lethal medical malpractice, or worse, wouldn’t possibly make their patients suffer in the name of some vague notion of activism against a thing that they should be better informed about because it’s their goddamned job.

You’re not fake simply because you act differently depending on the person you’re with. Different personalities bring out different aspects of your personality. You’re complex and multidimensional; it’s beautiful.

in anthropology this is called “code switching” and it is a completely natural thing that pretty much everyone does.

Aka. This is called being an adult and learning how to interact with different groups of people.
